Bottom row fingers

Now you know every letter

With the bottom row done, you can type any English word without looking. The next step is accuracy and rhythm: an even beat between keys is faster than bursts and pauses. Try a 30-second typing test to see where you are, then continue with capital letters.

How this lesson works

Type each line exactly as shown. The next key lights up on the keyboard and the line below the text tells you which finger to use. A wrong key is counted as a mistake and the letter turns red, but you stay on it until you press the right key, so you always finish with correct muscle memory. Finish with 97% accuracy or better for three stars. Your best result is saved in this browser.

Frequently asked questions

Which finger types B?

Your left index finger. B is a long reach, so move your whole hand slightly if you need to, then return to F.

My little finger is weak. Is that normal?

Yes. Little fingers are the least practiced. Drills like "aza" strengthen them over a few weeks.

What should I practice after the lessons?

Short daily typing tests. The 1-minute test is a good way to track progress week by week.
