Italian keyboard tips
- On the Italian layout, è, é, à, ò, ù and ì have their own keys to the right of P and L.
- Mac QWERTY: Option+` then the vowel for à, è, ì, ò, ù.
- Turn on "Ignore accents" to accept plain vowels.
Parole al minuto: valori di riferimento
Un adulto medio scrive circa 35–40 parole al minuto. Per lavori d'ufficio si chiede spesso 40–50 parole al minuto, mentre segretari e trascrittori superano le 60. Per allenarti sui testi completi prova anche il test con paragrafi (in inglese).
How your score is calculated
Every five correctly typed characters, including spaces, count as one word. Your WPM is the number of those words divided by the test length in minutes, so mistyped words do not count. Accuracy is the share of keys you pressed correctly. Read more about what your number means in our guide to the average typing speed.
