What you type in our tools

Our typing tests, lessons and games run entirely in your web browser. The text you type is processed on your device and is not uploaded to or stored on our servers. To show your progress, your personal best scores, recent results, lesson stars and the name you enter for certificates are saved in your browser's local storage. You can remove them at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings. Certificates are created on your device and are only shared if you choose to share them.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site secure and working and to understand overall usage. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to count page views.

We use Google AdSense to show advertising, which helps keep our tools free.
